Michael Oher?

Author’s Note: This is a character description piece on the character Michael Oher for the book and movie “The Blind Side.”

        Michael Oher is a guy that can be quite out of the ordinary. He is an over six foot tall African American man that is a pretty big guy, kind of like Shaq only he plays football not basketball. That applies for a place at a school when he has never gone to a school before. He gets taken in by a family a white family at that and at first some of the family members don’t like him and some do but throughout the story he begins to grow on them like a vine grows on a pole. Let’s just say that somehow he touches the hearts of everybody.

            As I was saying is that he grows on everybody with his attitude, his beliefs and values. His attitude is more of a laid back attitude except when it comes to football he can be the angriest guy on the field, his anger erupts like a volcano when he is on the football field. He hit like Muhammad Ali in a boxing match. Even though he is a laid back guy that really values life and he values what this family has brought to him that no one else has or ever even tried to. This family has brought to him a home and a car and a good education and allows him to play a sport that he loves to death. He really believes that everybody should get a second chance because if he can get one then everyone else should be able to as well. That is all about Michael Oher is the book and movie “The Blind Side.”
