Different Perspective

Author’s Note: This is a Point of view piece about a different person’s perspective then Jonathan it is about what his father is feeling right now.
Have you ever wondered what a book that someone wrote in one persons perspective would be like if they wrote it in a different persons perspective? Well I have. In the book The Fighting Ground by “Avi” it was a person writing a journal about the character Jonathan. But has anyone ever wondered what the book would be like in the perspective of his father? In this book it is all in the perspective in Jonathan but it would be very different in the perspective of his father.

I heard the bells and wondered what they were all about. So I called to Jonathan to go and find out what they were all about, but I told him to come back right away. So there he went running to find out what they were before it was too late. After a while he still didn’t come back I wondered what was taking him to long. I hope that he didn’t get lost on his way. But then even later tonight he still wasn’t home. I started to get very angry for three reasons. One is that I told him to come right back once he found out what they were about and he didn’t. Two is that there is no way I could go and find out what happened to him because all after I got shot in the leg when I was in the war I can’t get up and walk all by myself without my crutches and even if I could I still couldn’t leave mama home alone. Lastly it just makes me mad that Jonathan would have the nerve to do that to me. I just really hope that Jonathan is okay and that he didn’t go and get himself into any trouble. But most of all I hope that he will come home soon because he is really worrying everyone!

Now that is what the book would be like in Jonathan’s father’s perspective. But since the book is in Jonathan’s point of view it is a lot different. Like half of the stuff that his father might say isn’t in the book at all. Also his father might think that Jonathan is being brave wherever he is. But really he isn’t. He isn’t because he is captured and he got the chance to be free but then he was too afraid to get caught and then maybe tortured. Also in the beginning of the book Jonathan is wondering what the bells are about to. He is also not worried about his family at all. Well maybe he is but it doesn’t say anything about it. That is what the book would be like in Jonathan’s father’s perspective and in his perspective.
