America

           Authors Note: This is a story about America and how the way we do things is better then the way other countries do them.

           Are you proud of your country? Yes I am because, I think our country is a very good country because of all of the things that we are able to do that other countries can’t do. In fact I think it could be one of the best countries in the world. It could be one of the best because other countries don’t allow as much freedom as our country does. There are many reasons that I am proud of our country and freedom is one of the big ones.

            For instance freedom is a huge part in our country. One of the great things about our country there is more than one example of freedom. There is freedom of speech, like citizens get a say in things not just one person like a king or queen saying what goes. The country England used to be controlled by a queen. But now they are a Democracy which is what we are. I am glad that we are a democracy because that means that everyone gets a say or gets to at least say what they think other than just one or two people saying what goes.

            We are also free because we get to be whatever religion we want to be. As in you could be Catholic, if you wanted to be. You could be any other religion you wanted to be. You could be Lutheran too. In other countries you have to be a certain religion like in Morocco most people are Muslim other than like five percent are a different religion.  But not in our country you could be Catholic, Lutheran, Muslim, or Jewish, or even non-religious.

            Those are very good reasons to why our country is great. Not just because of our freedom, we fight for our right against other countries. Like right now our country is doing amazing in Iraq right now, at least that's what I've heard . Hopefully all of the troops soon will be home and with their families again. When they get home they will feel safe while in a free country.
